I have a 89 s13 with a CA18det. The engine has never really given me any problems.
Ive got a FMIC and 3'' catback exhaust and have recently installed a few gauges into the car and was looking for some advice on what sort of ranges I should be seeing on them
The gauges are from Autometer, boost, watertemp and oil pressure. I have an Auto gauge oil temp gauge but I dont think the sender is grounding correctly so its not giving me any readings, it just lights up real pretty.
Right now im seeing 20-30psi on hot idle and 40psi cold idle on the oil pressure gauge, highest ive seen it go is 80 psi but I havent really been driving it hard.
Water temp hovers at around 180F which I figure is like 85c.
Boost sees 10psi.
Im using 10-40 or 10-30 castrol edge, Ive lost track of the container so I cant tell you guys for sure.
The engine has 167k on it.
