    Interesting enough:

    ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1974 - SECT 97
    Offences
    97 . Offences

    A person shall not —

    (f) drive any vehicle or cause or permit any vehicle to be driven on any road while it has on it —
    (i) any forged or fraudulently altered number plate or registration label;
    (ii) any replica or imitation of a number plate or registration label; or

    So that to me sounds like all those little cute numberplate stickers are infact illegal because they are a replica number plate... Darn it...

    Interesting enough: ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1974 - SECT 98A Certain measuring equipment 98A . Certain measuring equipment (4b) In any proceeding such as is mentioned in subsection (3) or (3a), a certificate purporting to be signed by the Commissioner of Police certifying that a person named in the certificate is, or was at the material time, a person certified by the Commissioner as being competent to use distance measuring equipment or to use speed measuring equipment is prima facie evidence of the matters in the certificate, without proof of the signature of the person purporting to have signed it or proof that the purported signatory was the Commissioner. Could be a nice little loophole for getting out of a hand held infringement? JK

    Hi everyone, you'll also need to read that Act in conjunction with the Road Traffic Code 2000 I don't know how to add links etc to the posts..., but if someone shows me i'll soon learn. I do have PDF versions of the Road Traffic Act 1974 aswell as the Road Traffic Code 2000 if anyone is interested in getting electronic copies. also for those interested i also have PDF's of the following; -Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989 -Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 2002 -Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Rules 2002 I have the ADR's on CD, but don't know how easy it would be to get copies...errmmm i mean backups to anyone who is interested... If you do want copies of the above just email me on cscheer@docep.wa.gov.au or PM me with your email addy and i'll forward them on. Hope that helps you all out a bit more Regards Carlos

    excessive noise on your own property is still an offence under the EPA, and the cops can ask you to desist. If you do not they can issue an EPA order on you, and if you still continue, they can confiscate the equipment used to offend. Bare in mind this is not a traffic act issue, so they cannot impound the vehicle under hoon laws. They could probably get you for excess smoke at the same time though with the same EPA order. Oh and excess noise and smoke is about $80 each on the road the last time I checked, but you probably don't want to know the fine for not complying with a environmental protection act order. I imagine that could be nasty. PS. I'm a noob and tryiin to get my post count up too :P

    Bovs are yellow bait, the s14 is cop bait. You can be pulled over for driving a s14 or if a cop hears a BOV, thats pretty much all they know about cars. If you get pulled over for having an s14 you might get yellowed, if you have a bov and its atmo or really loud you will almost certainly be yellowed. so yea, in a way they are right about it being cop bait.
