Just curious, will you be doing much aero development on this car? I've been looking into aero for the wtac car i hope to build someday. It seems to be a very interesting "black art" as some people call it.

It will get some aero, but we are constrained by the IPRA rules to a degree.
A new wing with adjustable element will be made for the back. Front end will most likely see a different front bar with an under tray incorporated into it. Final option has not been decided upon, but looking at the Aero bar with an under tray fitted to it. I am allowed to run after market front & rear bars, as long as they don't protrude further than the stock ones when looking from above. This also means I can run Carbon Fibre, but not sure if I want to do that or not?

As for carbon parts, what are your options for getting those? Would you make them, buy premade or get something custom made up? I imagine it would be expensive any way you approached it.

Engine Bay ducting - Must run the standard bonnet
Rear diffuser - only if it's standard on that model
Front Splitter - This is ok, as long as it does not protrude past the bumper, and the bumper can not protrude any further than the original bumper when viewed from above. An under tray can also be fitted to the front bumper, but must be flat - no venturi.
The guys who made the Calliper adaptors also make carbon fibre parts. He would need a mould though, and I'm not sure how much it would cost. My other concern is flexibility & repairability. Without doubt, at some point, both the front & rear bars are likely to get "touched up" on track. Fibreglass id probably going to be a better option than CF in this respect.

Not sure if i want to go to the extent of getting carbon parts. I think I'll leave that till last.

Yeah, aero is limited. The idea of the class is that it looks more like a production car with a few tweaks.

Brake Calipers, Rotors & uprights are back at the machine shop getting some final adjustments before final fit up......exciting!

Sure is. They have been a pain in the arse to get right so that we can fit the 17" Enkei RPF1's over them, but I think we are pretty close now.

Good News...... the Brembo's are bolted up and fit like a glove!
In the end this is what we did.....
Modified EVO 9 Brembos
Modified STi Rotor
Custom Adaptors to mount calipers
All that effort to fit the Enkei RPF1's in 17x9....... they better bloody fit!

It's been a while since I have had a chance to play out in the garage due to a back injury which resulted in an injection to my spine, but today, I finally got back into it.
This afternoon I have fitted the GKTech ABS delete kit, very straight forward and quality looks good. I'm running the stock booster with the BM57 master for now while the category figures out what they are doing with the floor mount pedal box rule. If nothing else, it will give me the opportunity to do another track day and see what we can do with mods we have made and the weight that has been stripped from the car so far. Can't wait to get back in take it for a drive.
Still required before it's mobile again are :
1. Braided lines to brake calipers
2. Set of wheels (on the look out for Enkei RPF1, GTR R33 or Buddy Club P1's - 17x9 with offset +30-+37 range)
3. Bolt the seat back in
4. New Battery

Made some good progress last weekend. I received the last brake lines from HEL performance to connect to the brake callipers to the lines on the car. Got them all fitted, and then filled the system with fluid and bled the brakes up. No leaks, and a strong feeling pedal. Just need some wheels now to take it for a test drive!

So... like most builds, this one is taking longer than I'd like and progressing bloody slowly. Biggest problem with that is, too much thinking time. So...here s a list of some of the changes to the plan.....
1. No longer going to run Improved Production - heading to Street Cars instead.
2. SR has been removed, and being replaced with an LS Swap. (L98)
Some of the progress includes :
1. Finished off the sound deadener removal
2. Car has been completely stripped of wiring (except rear harness)
3. Interior has been completely stripped including dash etc
4. Seat has been purchased
5. Wheels arrived (17x8.5" Enkei RPF1's)
6. Scored some used Yokohama A050's in a 255/40/17
7. Got the wheels and tyres on the car.
Next items on the list are a Tilton Floor mount pedal box & a steering wheel before heading off to get caged.
All the updates and pics are on the facebook page......

Hello Zee, i've recently registered on your site as I have a very clean, well presented S13 1991 auto for sale. however i have been thinking to have it rebuilt/reconditioned if i can find a reliable, competent company/mechanic who will do it for me.
Any advise or recommendations will be appreciated.
