Hi Guys,

Tengoku is organising a paintballing session for Saturday morning, August 27th.

Hit us up if you are interested. But in the meantime, we are planning on indoor session at Malaga.

Further details to be advised closer to the date such as pricing etc.

But we plan to have stickers, food and alcohol!

Note: This is an open invite! We want to do something like Nissan V Others (since there are so many Nissan owners!)

Cheers,
Marshall

Running list:

Marshall
Andrew Dinha
Joshua Stone

Hi guys,

I've had this issue for awhile now with my SR20det, its running a GT2871R at 18psi and its overheating. On normal drives for 20-25mins it runs fine, I have no variations in heat (based on OEM water temp guage). Only on hard runs, ie AHG day or even after 2nd leg of swa cruise it starts to overheat.

This all began almost 6 months ago when my car ran out of coolant on a hot day to the point where it stopped working. It actually blew white smoke until it died, I mustve had a leak at the time.

After that, I replaced the OEM parts to the following:
Koyo Radiator N-flow
Silicon Hoses
Yashio factory water pump pulley (larger)
OEM Water pump
Unbranded thermostat (from repco or similar)
Nismo radiator cap

I have just taken it to NatRAD in Joondalup and had Matt take a look, he mentioned the following:
QUOTE
System holding pressure for long periods of time, displacing coolant and not replenishing. Cooling system was then slightly low possibly producing an airlock into system. Possible head gasket leak, teekay test OK.

Now he has given me a few suggestions, and he believes there may be a few issues. As you may/may not know, I try to do things myself so the task is up to me to try and fix as much as of it as possible. Matt suggested perhaps doing some of the following:
Replace clutch fan (appears to be quite worn)
Replace thermostat to OEM (There is a possiblity that glue may have clogged the thermostat on install)
Examine throttle body/bypass water lines going into throttle body
Replace radiator cap (in actual fact the cap seems fine but when my car first overheated it actually blew off)
Possible leak in turbo ?
Possible head gasket (LAST RESORT)

Even driving to places like the stance cruise and back (thats near the airport and I live in Padbury) the car was fine. When the car overheats it actually loses alot of the coolant, but it takes awhile for it to heat up.

Any suggestions would be appreciated before I start spending more money trying to fix it! I really hope its not the head gasket but if the time comes, then the time will come. I will potentially have to do a compression test and/or leak down test when I have the time.

Thanks,
Marshall

Hi guys,

I cant believe I am having this starting issues again~! It's not flat battery, pretty sure its not starter motor, I'm thinking it is my immobiliser.

Here is how it started:
Basically, I left my car to sit there for about 1-2months. Before that the car ran fine. I tried starting the car up, but the battery was dead so I took it out and recharged it.
Now, I put back in the recharged battery (note the battery is only about 1 year old and it is a sealed battery) and try to start the car up.

What happens:
The dash works, lights work, however when I try to start it the dash starts making funny noises and the car fails to start, no turning over or anything. Also my car wont un-immobilise itself ie when I press the remote central locking it wont unlock, I have to unlock by key/hand. Also the alarm on the imbo sounds really funny like it is half dying. I believe the immob is a cylcops type alarm system. Excuse me If i dont know much about immobs!

So I'm 99% sure its the immbo and I am not sure how to fix it. Is it possible it is just a fuse? I havent checked them yet.

Please give me a hand so I can get my car to powercruise! smile.gif

Just wanted to put out a quick thankyou to Marshall aka Volt Bite for organising coilover groupbuy despite the lack of interest. My brother (S13), mate (R34 4dr) and myself (s13) were all impressed with the speedy and reliable service provided by Marshall and Paul @ Street to Track. Both were quick to respond to any queries or concerns and the end result was three satified customers.
