Hey Guys,

After much dicking around with alignments etc for the rig, it has been determined that the issue is the pillow ball in the upper mounts of the coilovers. These have worn in sections so that the coilovers don't centre themselves correctly and will constantly pull to the left ever so slightly. I need to fix this to get the yellow off atm as they won't pass a car that pulls to the left.

Anyway to my question I currently have Tein super streets in the car right now and I am able to get some new upper mounts. The question is can these be replaced fairly easily, or is this a massive mission that won't be worth the time and money? I need to sort this out quick as my yellow expires next week and I will need to get this over soon.

Thanks guys

Hey Guys,

This ones being annoying and I'm going over the pits tomorrow and is something that I need to get resolved. About a month back I was in a hurry and being a bit unco, swung the car full lock in an underground car park and smacked my front right tyre onto a pillar. This immediately buggered my alignment up. Since that happened I installed my whiteline front swaybar and today took the car to get the alignment checked out. There was no damage that could be seen, the alignment was out by a fair way, so this was corrected and got the car back on the road. Well now the steering is straight, but let go of the wheel and it still wants to pull left.

The car was fine prior to the hit, and I was told that the reason its still pulling left is because of the bearing in the coilover (running TEIN superstreets) get memory and when set in a certain way will always try to pull in that direction. Sounds like poo to me but I want to check to see if maybe there is another explanation? Could it be something else I've missed here?

Cheers guys

Hey Guys,

Most of you probably know me (or at least my car anyway) I've been on the forums 2004 and have seen a lot of people come and go. My car I've owned from 05 and have started with a bog stock Q with an Sr20DE to where it is now. I absolutely love my car and still have as much fun driving it as I ever had. In saying that I've got the opportunity to start on a new project and I simply don't have the room for two cars. This is now for sale and I would love to see her go to someone who will continue to mod and enjoy the car as much as I have. For those of you who know the car, you will back me when I say its one of the tidiest S13 Sils going around atm. Anyway enough chat on to the car. I have modded this car to the point where I am extremely happy with it, but its a turbo away from making an easy 340atw. Please note all parts are genuine Jap parts, adn if they are not Jap parts then very good Aussie ones. I have made a point on only putting the best on this car so if you did have any future plans, all the supporting mods are in place.

The car was recently tuned and makes 282.7rwhp at 15psi.
The car was also recently fully resprayed in the factory super black. I should also mentioned I just bought slotted rotors yet to be fitted.

That's about it. Car is now for sale and I'm looking at $13,500 I'm not going to budge much on that as the car is great and I'm not desperate to sell. Let me know if there is any interest and you can see for yourself.

Hey Guys,

There's been a couple of topics come up in regards to brakes squealing, but I'm fairly sure mines a specific issue. I was running r33 rotors and calipers from a half (and have been for the last 3 - 4 years) with fedoro pads. Recently the front brakes were starting to squeal a bit so I thought pads must be getting low. I picked up a set of Bendix Ultimates and replaced the old pads on the car. Taking the old pads out there was still a good 40% worth of meat on them, so they've had a very good life. At any rate put the new pads in, went for a drive and bedded them in.

At this point there was no dramas, no noise, good brake feel etc. Upon getting home and then going for another drive, the brake noise came. Now this wasn't a slight squeal, but a track car wow I can here you a block away braking squeal. Given that I have been driving on these new pads for a little while, they should have bedded in by now. Noise varies depending on brake application ie: stomp on them and no noise, brake firmly lots of noise, brake very slightly no noise, brake a bit harder noise.

The only thing I can think of at this stage is its possibly the rotors. They are looking very shiney atm and are getting some uneven wear around them. Before I go out and spend more money on rotors, is this the issue? Or do I just give the pads some more time to settle and see what happens?

Cheers,
Liam

Hey guys. Got bored today and actually have the time to sit down and do one of these up so I'll finally post up the 2ndcoming S13. I've been around the club now since 2004 seen a lot of people come and go and been on the forums every now and then since. Car has been through a lot recently so i haven't made many cruises recently, but here's a little run as to where she is at now.

The story starts in June of 2004 when i purchased my first S13, a midnight blue, late model 93 S13 Silvia Q. The car was immaculate inside and and out with lowered RSR springs, 16inch enkei rims and a kakimoto 2.5 inch exhaust. I had owned the car for a little over two weeks, when in a freak accident on the way home one night i was blinded by an oncoming car near home, puring rain and thunderstorms, tagged the curb on the passenger side, spun the car and a power pole went through the driver side door at about 50 kms/h. the car was bent into a u shape and i spent 3 months in hospital with two badly broken legs, ankle and wrist.

After 9 months on crutches I was finally back and just finishing my uni degree. Now that i was back at work i finally had enough to purchase another Silvia, hence the name 2ndcoming (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

I bought her in November 2005, a 1991 S13 Silvia Q that was stock as a rock aside from the following mods:

- RSR springs
- HKS pod filter
- HKS cat back exhaust
